The Qualified Captain's Lower Unit Safety Cover is the easier, and safer tool to use to prevent someone from hitting that sharp propeller or skeg. Whether its kids running around, dogs swimming, or someone who had a little too much to drink, the cover will help take the brunt of impact.
The Lower Unit Safety Cover fits on all outboard motor manufactures. It comes with a adjustable strap to make tight on your specific size motor. We have tested it out on everything from a 9.9-300 HP motor.
It is completely water proof, with a 3" thick foam padding on the end to help protect from a potential trip or fall.
The Lower Unit Safety Cover can also be used during the off season to keep covered, and warm during the winter.

It works well to protect kids from the prop when swimming or anchored at the beach. It does hold a little bit of water, so maybe an improvement suggestion for the future is to put some holes in the bottom.
