U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City
Share
We spent the day at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City for an in-depth look at their operations, training, and personnel. This episode offers a rare behind-the-scenes perspective of one of the Coast Guard’s most critical aviation units.
Throughout the visit, we explored the air station’s facilities and aircraft maintenance operations, took a flight aboard the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter, and got a firsthand look at the life of a USCG pilot and rescue swimmer. We started with training prep in the pool before heading out into the open ocean to participate in an actual rescue swimmer training exercise. I was thrown overboard and served as the “duck” — the simulated survivor used during live helicopter hoist training.
This video highlights the professionalism, precision, and dedication of the USCG aviation community, and serves as a tribute to those who put themselves in harm’s way to save others.
Special thanks to the crew at USCG Air Station Atlantic City for their time, transparency, and commitment to service.
