About Onslow Bay Boatworks

Onslow Bay Boatworks was started in 2005 by Brad Knight, a second generation boat builder following in the footsteps of his father. The first boat built was a 17’ and then a 20’. Because of his love of offshore fishing, Brad turned his sights on designing the ultimate offshore tournament fishing boat in the under 30’ range. After many years of fishing the Southern Kingfish Association tournament trail, he saw that there was an opportunity in the 23’ and under category. It was measured by waterline length and not length overall, so he was able to build a 27’ boat to fit into and dominate that category. The first Onslow Bay 23 Tournament Edition splashed in August of 2007 and the rest is history.
